Low Vision Optometry exams are available in the afternoon on Wednesdays and Fridays, or in the morning on Thursdays. 

The goal of the Madison Low Vision Program is to increase the independence and quality of life for Veterans with visual impairment. We accomplish that goal through:

  • early detection
  • comprehensive assessment
  • training with adaptive equipment
  • access to vision related benefits and services

Veterans eligible for this program must:

  • be enrolled in a VA primary care clinic AND have visual acuity from 20/70 or worse

  • have a significant visual field loss AND have had an eye exam in the last year

The VA has a longstanding agreement with the Department of Defense to provide rehabilitation to active duty Service Members who become visually impaired and are in need of specialized care, please contact us.
