Madison VA Hospital to hold Quarterly Veterans Town Hall June 7th

June 1, 2018

MADISON, Wis.  — William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison will hold its next regular Quarterly Town Hall meeting for Veterans Thursday, Jun 7th. The quarterly meetings provide an opportunity for Veterans, their families and others with a stake in Veterans’ health care issues to make comments and have their questions answered by hospital executives and staff.

Director John Rohrer will discuss the hospital’s strategic priorities which include: Patient Experience, Outreach, the Inpatient Bed Plan, Preventing Veteran Suicide, Employee Engagement, and Whole Health Implementation.

The meeting will also include a reading of a veteran’s story from the Madison VA’s nationally recognized My Life, My Story program.

The Town Hall will begin at 3:30 p.m. in the hospital auditorium and is expected to last an hour and a half.

In addition to hospital executives, the hospital’s patient advocate team and other key clinical and administrative staff will be there to work one-on-one with any Veterans with issues they wish to have addressed on the spot.

Eligibility experts will be available to take questions and to assist Veterans in completing eligibility applications.  We are encouraging all Veterans to come and learn about what is happening at the VA and to take a second look at their potential eligibility for VA health benefits.
