William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital
Connect to your Provider with VA Video Connect
MADISON, Wis. — At the William S. Middleton Memorial Veteran’s Hospital, more than 83% of our providers in our Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT) and 95% of our Mental Health professionals are now trained to provide telehealth services to a Veteran’s home or Non-VA setting using VA Video Connect.
VA Video Connect (VVC) is a VA software solution for conducting real time video visits with Veterans.
This is a critical resource for Veterans as we practice social distancing during the current pandemic and limit our activities to essential needs.
VVC works by inviting participants through email to join an online, real time video session in what is called a virtual medical room.
VA Video Connect visits can be conducted from a variety of devices. The provider can join a VVC session from a computer or desktop, while a Veteran can connect from a personal home or mobile device (e.g., computer, tablet, or smart phone).
If you are interested in receiving care through VA Video Connect, speak with your VA care team to decide if it is right for you.
More information on VVC can be found at https://www.mobile.va.gov/app/va-video-connect.
