Resources for Veterans

Program Eligibility

Any woman veteran living in VISN 12 (Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, or the upper portion of Illinois) who meets VA eligibility criteria is eligible for an initial consultative assessment interview.

The goal of this interview is to help the veteran gain a better understanding of her trauma-related difficulties. After the interview the team will develop recommendations, which may include participation in services offered by the WSDTP or services in other VA or community agencies.

After establishing eligibility for VA care, a woman veteran or her clinician may contact the WSDTP at 608-280-7084 to schedule a consultative assessment interview. After meeting with the veteran, members of the team will make treatment recommendations. These recommendations may include a combination of participation in educational or therapy groups offered by VA Medical Centers, skills practices available on our web-site, or involvement in local, non-VA services. Availability of individual psychotherapy is limited.
